Contribute to the mātauranga continuum

E kore au e ngaro he kākano i ruia mai i Rangiātea.

It’s time to make the commitment to contribute to the body of Māori knowledge, its survival and expansion.  Now you know who we are and what we offer, you’ll find everything you need to know about the application process and how to apply online in this section.  Once you’ve had a chance to read through the pre-enrolment information, gather your necessary documents, take a deep breath, relax and enrol.  Nau mai ki tō tātou Wānanga!

  1. Choose your course of study.

  2. Before you start your application, please read the Enrolment Information.

  3. If you have all the information you need and are ready to enrol, ka rawe! Click here to APPLY ONLINE and begin the registration/application process. (Check out our short video which will help you understand the Enrolment Portal - Te Ara).

  4. When you register for the portal, record your username and password somewhere safe. Use these details whenever you sign in to the portal.  You will need to access the portal again to activate your Office 365  log on and details.

  5. Have the following information on hand when you apply:
    - passport or birth/marriage certificate and your vaccination passport for face to face courses
    - what
    course you want to study
    - what level your course is (certificate, diploma, degree, masters)
    - If the name you are enrolling under has changed from what it is on your birth certificate or passport you will also need to provide evidence of this, such as a marriage certificate.
    - If not New Zealand born you will need to provide evidence of New Zealand residency or citizenship.

  6. Applicants 17 years and under will require a parent or guardian signature on the student declaration and will be considered a special application.

  7. Once your enrolment is confirmed, you will be emailed details for your free Te Wānanga o Raukawa student Office 365 account which is activated in the Te Ara portal. This is yours to use while you study at Te Wānanga o Raukawa. Your Office 365 account provides you with a student email address, access to Microsoft Word, Excel and other handy applications. You can also log in to Mūrau, our online learning environment, with your Office 365 account to access your course materials.

Please note: an application submitted does not automatically mean acceptance into a programme, suitability is determined after completing academic kōrero by the relevant academic whare. This could happen before or after your enrolment is confirmed and all documentation is received.
