Lending Guidelines for the Library

Library resources are available to all students of Te Wānanga o Raukawa.  The following information provides guidelines for the lending of books and other materials.  The librarian may recall any item that is on loan.  These items must be returned within three days of the request or a fine of $5 per day per item will be charged.

Borrowing period:
3 weeks.
Renewing books: Over 3 weeks. Please make arrangements to renew your books to avoid fines.
Reserving books:
If the item you want is out you may reserve it.
Interloans: If we do not hold a book you want we may be able to borrow from another library. All non-urgent requests from Library of NZ or Alexander Turnbull Library are a free service. Requests to other libraries may incur charges.
Fines: Please return books by the due date. This will help you to avoid incurring a fine of ten cents per day per item.
Lost books: Please notify the librarians if a book is lost. There will be a cost for replacement and an administration fee.
Closed reserve: Some materials may be placed in closed reserve. These resources remain in the library at all times and may be used in the library.
Reference books: Please do not remove reference books from the library.
Photocopying: A photocopier is available inside the library for student use at a rate of 10 cents per copy. Change may be obtained from library staff.
Returning books: Please place in Returns Box.
Re-shelving books: All returned items and any books that have been used in the library will be reshelved by library staff only.
Food and drink: To be consumed outside of the library.
