Te Tākupu, the publishing unit of Te Wānanga o Raukawa, was established in January, 2011.  Our aim is to encourage and develop Māori writers and to maximise our contribution to the revival and expansion of the mātauranga continuum.

We will also promote Te Wānanga o Raukawa as a centre of excellence in whakatupu mātauranga by increasing the body of Māori-authored works by and for our students, staff, the ART Confederation and the the world.

TE TĀKUPU - HE WHAKAMĀRAMA I TE INGOA

Kei te mārama tonu te kaupapa matua i tīkina atu ai te tākupu - ko te tā i te kupu, koia tonu te ara matua e puta ai he pukapuka, he hautaka me ērā atu tūmomo tānga kōrero ki te ao.  Ā, ko te autaia manu nei, ko te tākupu - he manu kaha, he manu noho takutai, he manu ātaahua, ko ia hei kawe i ngā kōrero a Te Wānanga, i ngā rongo o Te Wānanga ki te tī, ki te tā, pērā anō i te maha o ngā nūpepa Māori o mua he manu te kaikawe i te kupu.

Ko te waitohu mō te whare nei, ko te manu tonu me tōna inoga.  Ā, ko te painga atu me ka kitea he wāhi iti i raro iho mō ngā kupu tautoko nei, "e rere e te 'kupu", kia mārama ai te kite ko te manu tērā, ko te tānga kupu anō tērā e popore ana a Te Wānanga kia rere, kia ora i ngā tau e takoto ake nei.
