Studying at Te Wānanga o Raukawa gives learners the opportunity to enhance their understanding of whānau, hapū and iwi.  For some students it will be their first experience of rōpū tuku iho through research and writing at the Wānanga.  In either case, if you are extending your knowledge of your whānau, hapū and iwi or are a new entrant to these groups, your journey can be rewarding beyond your expectation.  Haere mai.

Students emerge from Te Wānanga o Raukawa with a greater awareness of themselves and the complementary skills that enable us to contribute to the world as Māori.  To accomplish this, the Wānanga undertakes a distinctive and innovative approach to learning that is reflected in the content and delivery of our programmes.  Haere mai.

Intellectual stimulation through the exchange of ideas, the sharing of manaakitanga and the pursuit of whakawhanaungatanga are fundamental to life at Te Wānanga o Raukawa.  We hope that every student entering the front gate will learn the meaning of this.  Those who are associated with the teaching, research and administration of Te Wānanga o Raukawa are committed to helping every student to achieve this understanding.  Haere mai tātou.
