March 02, 2021

E kore au e ngaro, he kākano i ruia mai i Rangiātea.

Te Rōpū Whāiti o Ngā Tauira is the Student Association of Te Wānanga o Raukawa. The group is run by ākonga for ākonga. Being involved with Te Rōpū Whāiti o Ngā Tauira is a great opportunity to make sure ākonga voices and opinions are heard, to make new friends and get involved with the teaching and learning community.

The group aims to provide:

  • Advocacy and support for ākonga in their study journey
  • Pastoral support
  • Social networking
  • Ākonga representation on the Academic Board
  • A presence at each noho on campus

An understanding of te reo Māori and the guiding kaupapa of Te Wānanga o Raukawa would be useful in the role.

There are currently positions open for one representative per academic whare, per campus (Ōtaki, Manukau and Gisborne ). All full-time students may apply.
