Heke Te Rangakura Kaiwhakaako is a one year introduction to bilingual teaching in te reo Māori and English. This course of study will provide you with the necessary knowledge, attitudes and skills needed to access and relay ngā taonga tuku iho.  This mātauranga is drawn from the study of iwi and hapū values, knowledge and institutions in a way that is consistent with the notion of a Māori world view curriculum and its application in the kaupapa Māori educational context.  

Heke Te Rangakura Kaiwhakaako is awarded to those who successfully complete the first year of the three year Poutuarongo Te Rangakura Kaiwhakaako degree.
