Heke Te Rangakura Kaiwhakaako

Diploma in Teaching (Bilingual)

Enter a rewarding, dynamic career that offers flexibility, job security and opportunities to travel as you turn your passion for making a difference in the lives of our tamariki into a career.

This one year diploma will introduce you to the bilingual teaching environment at primary school level. You will gain the necessary knowledge, attitudes and skills needed to access and relay ngā taonga tuku iho. This mātauranga is drawn from the study of iwi and hapū values, knowledge and institutions in a way that is consistent with the notion of a Māori world view curriculum and its application in the kaupapa Māori educational context.

This is the first year of the three year Poutuarongo Te Rangakura Kaiwhakaako degree.
