As a response to the pandemic Te Wānanga o Raukawa developed a protection framework, He Pae Mataara placing a rāhui on the virus to provide a safe place for our people He Āhuru Mōwai. We urge our people to remain vigilant in protecting our most vulnerable.


Everyone coming on to our Ōtaki campus is required to sign in at Kaitiaki or reception and complete an online registration using the Timecloud declaration app which visitors can scan using your cellphones photo app.  This confirms who you are, your purpose for visiting and whom, and your current state of wellbeing. This is a health and safety requirement, should an emergency situation happen while you are on site.


The following is tikanga has been maintained: 


  • Mask wearing is no longer mandatory but strongly recommended where distancing becomes difficult. This includes tamariki 12 years and older.
  • Regular cleaning and wiping down of high touch areas across campus. 
  • Distancing and adequate ventilation. 
  • Please do not come to campus or events if you have cold/flu-like symptoms.
