E ngā ākonga, e te iwi whānui, kua whakatūturutia ngā whakaritenga mō te Rā Whakapūmau mō ngā ākonga o te tau 2021.


Te Rā Whakapūmau is the most anticipated day at Te Wānanga o Raukawa. It is a celebration of you and your achievements in contributing to the expansion of the mātauranga Māori continuum and the survival of our people. It is a time to acknowledge your hard work, determination, persistence, and the unwavering support of your whānau and friends. It is an important step towards achieving your dreams and aspirations. This is your time and we are proud to celebrate it with you!

This year ceremonies will be held for all graduands of:

Heke, Poutuarongo, Poutāhū and Tāhuhu by academic whare between:

28 – 30 September, Te Wānanga o Raukawa, 144 Tasman Road Ōtaki.

Our kaupapa o te wā is Whakapapa.


The order of whare each day:

Tuesday 27 September – Due to the recent announcement of the public holiday ākonga will now graduate on Wednesday 28 September.


Day 1 - Wednesday 28 September – Te Whare Oranga,  Te Whare Kōkiri and Te Whare Whakatupu Mātauranga

*Rongoā, Kawa Oranga, Kaitiakitanga Pūtaiao, Toiora Whānau, Toi Whakarākai, Mātauranga Māori, Puna Maumahara, Whakahaere, Ahunga Tikanga


Day 2 - Thursday 29 September – Te Whare Whakaakoranga

Day 3 - Friday 30 September – Te Whare Kōrero

Heke/Poutuarongo Reo

  • Te Kawa o te Ako

    The marae is our principal home to be maintained and respected. It is expected that Te Kawa o Te Ako will be observed, respected and supported at all times. Smoking, vaping or the consumption of alcohol and the use of drugs are to be refrained from while at Te Wānanga o Raukawa.
