Haere mai ki te Rā Whakauru, kia rewa ake tō reo, tō mana, tō whakapapa. Learning with us is a journey back to yourself. Join us at Enrolment Day; rekindle your language, your strength, your connection, your identity.
This is a day for our people who are ready to study and want support to take that first step.
What we have planned:
- On-the-spot enrolment support and guidance.
- A dedicated Student Fees kaimahi to advise on payments, plans and hardship support.
- Scholarship advice and application guidance.
- Guided campus tours of our whare, noho and learning spaces.
- Our whare pukapuka will be open to explore — A librarian will be on hand to kōrero about taonga and our very own indigenous catalogue system.
- Kai, manaaki and tamariki activities so whānau can kōrero without worry.
- Our on-campus shop Hokomai will be open for whānau to browse and purchase merchandise.
- Meet our pūkenga from Te Whare Kōkiri for courses in mātauranga Māori, Te Whare Pora, Whakairo and Whakahaere.
Who should come:
- Rangatahi looking for a learning pathway grounded in te ao Māori.
- Pākeke wanting to return to study, or to enrich existing skills with mātauranga Māori.
- Anyone wanting to grow their understanding of ancestral knowledge that is kaupapa-led, iwi/hapū-centred and reo-rich.
- Whānau supporting their children, mokopuna or loved ones to enrol.
What to bring:
- Verified Birth Certificate, Photo ID (driver licence, passport, 18+ card) OR your NSN Number
- Any scholarship or benefit documents you already have
- Your whānau — everyone’s welcome!
