Te Wānanga o Raukawa (TWOR) continues to produce graduates who contribute to the mātauranga Māori continuum within Aotearoa and abroad ensuring the survival of our knowledge, our people, our customs, our language and have done so for over 40 years, being the original contemporary Wānanga in Aotearoa. Are you a recent graduate from a degree or post graduate course? Do you have some time available to help current students?
We are looking for advisors to help us pilot our Te Tātaritanga, Personal Transformation Plan (PTP) project.
As an advisor, you will work with a pool of students to set, track and reflect on goals designed to help them get the most out of their study. You will be required to:
- Regularly meet with participating students, either face to face or remotely, to help them set and track their goals
- Provide ad-hoc support to participants
- Attend team meetings
- Keep records of your activity and your own reflections of the project
In return, we will provide:
- Up to 10 hours of paid work a week for 12 weeks for supporting the PTP project and wider Wānanga whānau
- Specialised training in how to work with the students to develop their goals and support them through their first semester of study
- Access to, and training in, the tools used to work with the students
- The equipment you need

Executive Assistant to the Tumuaki

A special and unique place of learning, Te Wānanga o Raukawa is a tikanga Māori tertiary education provider. A vacancy has arisen for an Executive Assistant extraordinaire to join Te Whare o Te Tumuaki full time at our main campus located in Ōtaki.
The successful applicant will be required to perform a variety of administrative tasks and provide support to the tumuaki, Dr Mereana Selby.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing calendars, emails, minute taking, preparing travel arrangements and drafting or preparing relevant documentation and publications as required.
Successful applicants should have a sound knowledge of the guiding kaupapa of Te Wānanga o Raukawa, be highly organised, have time management skills, be able to take initiative, and have competency of te reo Māori.
