
Free raranga night classes in Ōtaki

FREE raranga night classes starting November 6 in Ōtaki.
Deepen your connection to Papatūānuku through the creative, healing medium of weaving. For anyone with a genuine interest in enrolling in Toi Whakarākai (Raranga) - Diploma in Māori Design and Art (Weaving) in 2020 this is a must.
Delivered over four nights, you will have the opportunity to meet the tutors, find out more about the weaving qualifications and meet like-minded souls.
Start date: Wednesday 6 November
Duration: 4 weeks
Days: Wednesdays, 6.30pm
Where: Te Wānanga o Raukawa, 144 Tasman Road Ōtaki
Cost: Fees free
Additional Information:
- Anyone interested must register their interest before Monday 4 November due to limited spaces.
- Registration does not mean automatic entry. You will receive an email or call by one of the weaving tutors to confirm your placement in the course.
- This class is open to both males and females.
- Most resources will be supplied. Bring along a pair of scissors.
Come and experience storytelling through the ancient art of weaving and make your very own kono.
