“I am privileged to be a kaiako in the Tāhuhu Whakahaere degree programme and follow the philosophy of the sage, Socrates, who said, "I cannot teach anybody anything, but I can make them think." It is one of my greatest satisfactions to see the development of critical thinkers, analysts, and innovators in the programme. You know, knowledge is food for thought, but food is perishable, so what knowledge I pass on must be fresh, and that is what drives me, the constant pursuit of new ways of thinking so that our ākonga too can think their way through the challenges they face.”
